Who We Are

Karen Hardie, Certified Herbalist and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach

From an early age, Karen was interested in the plants that surrounded her in the Southern Appalachian Mountains where she grew up. Her mother and grandmothers taught her to cook healthy and on a budget.

In the spring of 2017 on a trip to the SC coast, Karen decided it was time to regain a proper balance in life and go back to her roots in Asheville, NC. Karen left a successful yet busy sales job on the road to work from home. This is when Karen decided to dedicate her work to helping others learn how to make positive changes in their lives. Karen finds inspiration to help others avoid the pain of chronic illness from her own late mother's journey with cancer. Karen accomplishes this goal by teaching how to use herbs, foods and lkfestyle tips which help prevent the onset of chronic disorders associated with food and lifestyle choices.

Karen recently gained a Certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. This has improved her understanding of how to help people transform their own lives. Karen also has a Certificate of Therapeutic Herbalism circa 1991. In between, she served as Herbal Educator, Herbal Information Specialist, Nutritional Educator, Sales Professional, and most importantly Mom. Karen has learned from countless motivational and sales trainers, from renown herbalists and most recently from the inspiring superstar team at IIN (the Institute for Integrative Nutrition).

Perhaps the most relevant training of all comes from Karen's vast life experience, some hard knocks and by learning to listen deeply to herself and to others.
